Handbuilding is a great class for any skill level potter! Lily will cover the fundamentals of handbuilding with clay, including pinch pots, slab built forms, and coil pots. Students may use these techniques to make whatever forms they want such as bowls, planters and pitchers! Students will also be taught about firing their work and glazing techniques.
This class will meet once per week for 8 consecutive weeks, starting on April 3rd.
Glazes, firing charges and one bag of clay per student are included in the class price. Similar to membership at Cascade, students can enjoy 24/7 access to the studio to work on projects. Community tools are provided or you may bring your own tools. Students get one 24 x 18 x 16 inch shelf to store projects and materials.
