This is a mixed level hand building class, great for beginners and artists who already have experience and are looking to keep learning. Several hand building, surface decoration and glazing techniques will be taught over the course of the class. Class will include a demo and time to work at your own pace on projects, with your instructor around to offer ideas and tips to develop your skills further.

Students may create any forms they like with the techniques taught such as mugs, bowls, planters, vases, small busts, and much more! Students will also be taught about the stages of clay as it dries, gets fired in the kiln, and glazing techniques. The possibilities with handbuilding are truly endless, and students are always encouraged to bring ideas for things they want help creating. Come share the joy of pottery with our resident artist Lily in a fun, playful and accepting environment that’s also full of inspiration!

Instructed by Lily. This class is 8 weeks and will meet once per week for three hours on the listed day

Glazes, firing fees and one bag of clay per student are included in the class price. Similar to membership at Cascade, students can enjoy 24/7 access to the studio to work on projects.
