Prerequisite: taken an intermediate class with us or elsewhere, can center and make an even cylinder. Familiar with bellying out shapes.
In this class we will focus on more complex forms and attachments (different handle forms, spouts, etc), as well as surface decoration and alteration. We will learn how to complete forms cleanly and unified, meaning your attachments and designs will be clean and “professional” looking, as well as cleaner glaze application.
Complex forms and projects are welcomed and encouraged! This is the perfect class to expand what you think you can do in pottery.
This class will meet once per week for 8 consecutive weeks, starting on April 27th.
Glazes, firing charges and one bag of clay per student are included in the class price. Similar to membership at Cascade, students can enjoy 24/7 access to the studio to work on projects. Community tools are provided or you may bring your own tools. Students get one 24 x 18 x 16 inch shelf to store projects and materials.
