In this underglaze workshop you will dive into surface decoration with underglaze! This includes layering, sgraffito, design and application with and without other glazes. This workshop is perfect for those looking for new ways to add colors and designs to the surface of their pottery. Tiahna will instruct and teach you about using underglaze and the differences of glaze and underglazes which are more stable like paint and used for different reasons.
Please bring a couple pieces of your own greenware and/or bisque ware to practice on and a notebook to keep notes if you’d like! A few greenware pieces will be available if needed. Having some pottery knowledge may be helpful, but beginners are also encouraged to join!
Skill level: beginner friendly/intermediate.
