Class dates: 5/5-6/23

What the class will cover:

~ This class is aimed to support those with little or no clay knowledge. Instructor will demonstrate a technique for the first part of class, then its your time to practice! Your instructor will come around to offer personalized feedback to each student based on their skills and goals for the day. It is common to repeat beginner wheel more than once or twice – until you are ready to try making forms other than mugs, bowls and plates.

Intermediate beginners may take this class, intermediate project accommodations may be suggested to those interested in more of a challenge.

~Syllabus & techniques may vary slightly by instructor, don’t worry you will get all the important info regardless!

  • Class demonstrations aimed to support new beginners.
  •  Learn to operate the pottery wheel and be introduced to centering and throwing clay on the wheel.
  • Class demonstrations on basic forms such as mugs, bowls and plates.
  • Learn about the stages of clay, drying projects and trimming. 
  • How to glaze your work. 
  • Important cleaning procedures to keep a clean and healthy studio environment.

Whats included in your class & some important studio info:

Glazes, firing fees and one bag of clay is included in the class & 24/7 access to studio space, tools, equipment, and glazes to practice their new skills and work on projects. Community tools are provided or you may bring your own. Students get one 24x18x16 inch shelf to store projects and materials.

Cancellations and refunds are subject to a 5% fee due to card processor fees. Refund requests must be made 2 weeks before the class start date, we cannot offer refunds within two weeks of the class starting.
