In this intermediate wheel class, students will enhance their wall pulling skills and detail refinement, learn to throw larger amounts of clay, and make various functional pots such as tumblers, plates, pitchers and lidded jars. Week one will be a throwing exercise of making a 4-pull cylinder/tumbler, followed by a trimming demo on week two. The third week will be centering larger pieces of clay to make large bowls and plates, then glaze demo on week four. The last two projects will be a pitcher with a pulled spout, and lidded jars with inset galleries.
Lily will also share how to create interesting forms through alterations like darting, paddling and altering rims.
This class will start on January 7th and end on February 25th.
