  • A great class for total beginners or those with beginner-ish skills who want to focus on building foundational skills like centering your clay to make even pots & creating cylinders and bowls using the pottery wheel. Class will include a group demo and personalized demos/feedback during work time for projects. Students will learn about the stages of clay, using the pottery wheel to form pottery with wet clay, dry it to the right consistency to trim a foot, finish drying projects for their first firing, and glaze their work. Many people choose to repeat beginning wheel class until they can center clay and make cylinders without instruction before moving on to an intermediate wheel class. By the end of this class students should have completed several projects to take home and enjoy! Instructed by Max.
