Mug intensive:
Over this course Lily will discuss the features that make a mug functional, tips for pulling more efficient cylinders, and how to play in order to create new designs and define your style. students will learn how to pinch handles from a blank piece of clay, and be shown a multitude of pulled-handle methods such as pulling off the pot, upside down pulled handles, and more. Lily’s teaching style is very creative and fun, come how you can take your mugs up a notch intros mug intensive specialty class!
Week 1:
• throwing several plain cylinders for handle and wall-pulling practice
• practice pulling handles from a bulk piece of clay
Week 2:
• trim cylinders
• attach handles from last week
• pinched handle demo
•play with form and throwing different mug shapes
Week 3:
• trim mugs from week 2
• handles pulled off the pot ect
•finish wet clay projects
Week 4:
•glaze demo and glazing mugs

Glazes, firing fees and one bag of clay per student are included in the class price. Similar to membership at Cascade, students can enjoy 24/7 access to the studio to practice their new skills and work on projects. Community tools are provided or you may bring your own tools. Students get one 24 x 18 x 16 inch shelf to store projects and materials.

All cancelations and refunds are subject to a 5% fee due to card processor fees. Refund requests must be made 2 weeks before the class start date, we cannot offer refunds within two weeks of the class starting.
