Join Jazzy for a taste of handbuilding with clay!
This class is aimed at clay beginners, and will introduce students to some of the basics & fundamental techniques of handbuilding with clay. We will learn how to use flat slabs of clay to create dishes and a square jar or planter, create small mugs and other forms with a pinching technique and learn about adding attachments like handles, sculpt a decorative hollow piece of fruit or a vegetable, and build with coils. Class will introduce students to various ways to add texture to each form, and glaze to accentuate textures and the form. We will learn to create slabs and coils by using studio equipment and by hand.
This class will start on January 8th and end on February 26th.
Glazes, firing fees and one bag of clay is included in the class price. Students can enjoy 24/7 access to the studio to practice their new skills and work on projects. Community tools are provided or you may bring your own. Students get one 24x18x16 inch shelf to store projects and materials.

All cancellations and refunds are subject to a 5% fee due to card processor fees. Refund requests must be made 2 weeks before the class start date, we cannot offer refunds within two weeks of the class starting.
