This is a mixed level hand building class, great for beginners and artists who already have experience and are looking to keep learning. Several hand building, surface decoration and glazing techniques will be taught over the course of the class. Class will include a demo of a technique then work time to work at your own pace on projects, with the support of our amazingly creative and talented Resident Artist Instructor, Lily around to offer individual feedback and tips to develop your skills & ideas further.
Students may create any forms they like with the techniques taught such as mugs, bowls, planters, vases, small busts, and much more!
Students will learn about the full ceramic process, stages of clay and glazing. The possibilities with handbuilding are truly endless, and students are always encouraged to bring ideas for things they want help creating.
Lily’s teaching style is very fun, creative and accommodating, and makes for the perfect class atmosphere whether you’re looking to discover a new creative passion, or learn new skills and ideas to take your Handbuilt projects further, or just play around!

Glazes, firing fees and one bag of clay per student are included in the class price. Similar to membership at Cascade, students can enjoy 24/7 access to the studio to work on projects. Community tools are provided or you may bring your own tools. Students get one 24 x 18 x 16 inch shelf to store projects and materials.

All cancelations and refunds are subject to a 10% fee due to card processor fees. Refund requests must be made 2 weeks before the class start date, we cannot offer refunds within two weeks of the class starting.
