This is to make sure you have a good understanding of the studio, have a chance to get to know the instructors and some class friends, and get some experience using our glazes before being on your own with them. Minimum age for membership is 18. All members must agree to our studio code of conduct & terms of service upon signing up for membership. Please read and be familiar with our studio policies ahead of time! Monthly membership is automatically charged on your card each month starting on the day you purchase the membership, you may log into your account and choose to cancel it if you wish to stop. There are two large worktables & a smaller work table with many handbuilding tools and banding wheels as well as many other community tools available for use in the studio. • Create your own Pumpkin or Jack-O-Lantern Jar just in time for spooky season. Lily will demonstrate how to form the shape of a pumpkin by using coils, add details such as a stem, leaves, a face, and how to make a lid so your clay Jack-o-Lantern can be used as a luminary or jar. Once finished, the pumpkins will dry over several days, be fired in the kiln, glazed and fired again. Lily will glaze students pumpkins, and have them ready in about 3 weeks! We will email you when it's time to pick them up.
  • Make your own serving plates and trays to enjoy & show off for the holidays! Lily will demonstrate different styles of plates and trays, adding textures, handles and attachments, then your turn to make your own! Students will have several options for glazing their plates, or to take them home to finish on their own. Finished pumping will be ready 3 weeks after the class, due to drying & firing time. We will email you when it's time to pick them up!
  • Join us for a one time class on the potters wheel! This is the perfect class for those who want to try out the pottery wheel for a day before committing to a longer class. Your instructor Max will first demonstrate the process of making a cylinder or bowl and then give you individual feedback as you make your own. In this 2 hour class, participants will go through the process of making one pot together with the group, and a second one at their own pace. Once finished, the class will clean up together. Demo takes about 20 minutes, making your first pot can take about 30 minutes. The second pot usually is a little quicker to make. Cleanup and choosing a glaze will take up the last 15 – 25 minutes. Your new pottery will be bisque fired in the kiln once dry and then glaze fired with one of 6 glazes you will have to choose from. Glazed pots will be ready to pick up 3 - 4 weeks after the workshop. We recommend that you wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, although the clay does wash out of clothes easily.  The pottery wheel is also easier with short fingernails! :) Please make sure to arrive on time, instruction will begin at 10:05. Thank you! Registration is for one person. Skill level: Beginner friendly

  • A great class for total beginners or those with beginner-ish skills who want to focus on building foundational skills like centering your clay to make even pots & creating cylinders and bowls using the pottery wheel. Class will include a group demo and personalized demos/feedback during work time for projects. Students will learn about the stages of clay, using the pottery wheel to form pottery with wet clay, dry it to the right consistency to trim a foot, finish drying projects for their first firing, and glaze their work. Many people choose to repeat beginning wheel class until they can center clay and make cylinders without instruction before moving on to an intermediate wheel class. By the end of this class students should have completed several projects to take home and enjoy! Instructed by Jazzy. This two hour class will meet once per week starting and ending on the listed dates JOIN THE WAITLIST HERE IF CLASS BECOMES FULL  Glazes, firing fees and one bag of clay per student are included in the class price.
