Join us for a one time class on the potters wheel! This is the perfect class for those who want to try out the pottery wheel for a day before committing to a longer class.

Your instructor Max will first demonstrate the process of making a cylinder or bowl and then give you individual feedback as you make your own. In this 2 hour class, participants will go through the process of making one pot together with the group, and a second one at their own pace. Once finished, the class will clean up together.

Demo takes about 20 minutes, making your first pot can take up to 45 minutes. Many people will have time to make a second pot, but not always. The second pot usually is a little quicker to make. Cleanup and choosing a glaze will take up the last 15 – 25 minutes.

Your new pottery will be bisque fired in the kiln once dry and then glaze fired with one of 6 glazes you will have to choose from. Glazed pots will be ready to pick up 3 – 4 weeks after the workshop.

We recommend that you wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, although the clay does wash out of clothes easily.  The pottery wheel is also easier with short fingernails! :)

Please make sure to arrive on time, instruction will begin at 4:05. Thank you!
